A Personal Journey with Chinese Tea
A slow beginning with tea (and a very good friend)
Serenitea Tea House didn’t start as a “business idea.”
It started on weekends.
A close friend of mine — someone I’ve known for many years — owns a small tea house. We would meet regularly, mostly to catch up on life, talk about work, and share what had been going on recently.
But slowly, those weekend afternoons turned into something else.
We would sit for hours, drinking tea, meeting new people who wandered into the tea house, and just letting time slow down a little. No rush, no pressure — just conversation, tea, and presence.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but those quiet afternoons were changing the way I lived.

Tea slowly became part of my everyday life
What started as weekend visits slowly turned into a habit.
Now, after work, I often find myself making tea at home — usually on my balcony — just to unwind from the day.
Sometimes it helps me reset after a long, tiring day.
Sometimes it makes an already good day feel even better.
Tea became less of a “drink” and more of a small ritual — a way to pause, breathe, and come back to myself.

What I discovered while drinking tea
Over time, I became more curious about what was actually in tea.
Tea contains natural compounds like theanine, polyphenols, and other nutrients that many people associate with relaxation and digestion support.
Personally, I find that tea helps me feel calm and grounded. My body responds well to it — I feel lighter, more relaxed, and sometimes even sleepy after a good cup in the evening.
But of course, everyone is different.
Some friends feel energized by tea because of its natural caffeine content, so they prefer drinking it earlier in the day. For me, it often works best as an evening ritual.

More than tea: it’s about people
What surprised me most wasn’t just the tea — it was the people around it.
In tea houses, something interesting happens.
Strangers sit down and become open, kind, and curious. Conversations flow naturally. People share advice, life experiences, encouragement — sometimes even things they wouldn’t normally say in daily life.
I’ve received a lot of kindness through tea.
Not just knowledge about tea itself, but also guidance about work, life, and how to move through different stages of adulthood with more ease.

Why Serenitea Tea House exists
Over time, I realized I wanted to share this feeling.
Not just tea itself — but what tea creates:
- calmness
- connection
- curiosity
- small moments of happiness
That’s why Serenitea Tea House exists today.

What you’ll find here in the future
This space will continue to grow slowly, just like tea does.
I’ll be sharing:

Little snapshots from tea houses, friends, and quiet afternoons
Nothing too formal — just honest stories, tea experiences, and things I learn along the way.
